QLQLcafe(kurukuru-cafe) is located in a back street of a famous back street in Akiba, ‘junk street’ quietly. The building is wide enough to bring strollers inside and you can sit sofa and enjoy hand-drip coffee (500yen) or handmade pound cake(drink set:8ooyen). But… it is more than that.
The fact is… this place is not only for cafe but also for photo studio! Also this photo is not an usual one but the world’s first photo, kurukuru picture! Special camera can turn 360 degree and it can cover all around you. Because it is in Akiba, some customers ask taking a picture with special costume. The owner (he is also an engineer) says it took about 4 years to invent this system. Once you take a picture with this special camera with the full of Akibaism, the photo absolutely must be better than any other pictures during your trip!
First, you step on the turning base and the owner start taking pictures of front, side and back with the special camera. Within 1 or 2 minutes, the pictures are integrated into one picture. If you move during taking pictures, you in the picture get some movement so it becomes more special one! The file will be uploaded in the cafe’s official homepage. So let’s copy URL and share it to your family or your friends!
A kurukuru picture with drink is only 800 yen! You can also buy sticker with QR code for 500 yen or a mug with your picture for 2000 yen!
There are some dishes that children also can enjoy!
“I want to connect people, time and space in a kurukuru(turning around) way. All the techniques are just for this”, the owner says. You can use this place just as cafe and sometimes they have some exhibitions or some events. Let’s take a special picture and enjoy friendly communication with people who come to this special heart full place in Akiba!
