It has been 8 years since its opening in Akihabara. This “ELCERO DOS Akihabara,” where you can taste authentic Spanish cuisine, is conveniently located near Suehiro-cho station. The interior is large and you can relax there, just like at an authentic Spanish bar. The food that they take pride in include "paella," a popular dish symbolic of Spanish cuisine, and a wide variety of Spanish wines can be appreciated here.
The “tortilla” is a Spanish omelet with vegetables that have been immersed in a tasty soup. One of the selected ingredients for this dish is mushroom.
There is a rich variety of dishes in the Spanish menu, for which carefully selected ingredients are used. For the Spanish omelet, “tortilla (680yen),” though this dish is generally grilled as a large portion and sliced when served, here, you can choose your preferences out of 5 available ingredients, when you order. As they grill each dish when an order is placed, you can enjoy it piping hot.
How about squeezing lemon on their “Seafood Paella?”
The most popular dish is, without saying, paella (serves 2 to 3, more than 2,000yen). Made with a soup from a secret recipe, this paella tastes so good that other restaurants ask about the recipe. For the ingredients, you can choose from squid ink, chicken and cheese, or seafood. Apart from these, the menu also includes dishes such as “anchovy potato salad (450yen)” and “shrimp ajillo (780yen)” that are ideal with wine.
The wine recommended by staff is “L’E QUILIBRISTA (Tightrope walker, 7,000yen).” The well balanced flavor is its characteristic.
Another of their recommendations is “ARZUAGA (6,000yen).” This is a wine produced in Spain by the person who produced Romanée-Conti.
It is not only the food, but also the drinks which are of a wide variety. In particular, the wine cellar that always stores over a hundred kinds of wine is worth checking. “We take care to display them in a way such that people can see their labels, so that they can be selected with ease,” said the manager. “We make a lot of effort to select tasty yet reasonably priced wines.”
Representative Spanish beers as well
Apart from wines, Spanish beers are also served. “Estrlla Galicia (670yen)” is a local lager beer from the Garcia region in Spain, and it has the right bitterness and a pleasant clean finish. “Cruzcampo (670yen)” is a pilsner, and its characteristics are an aromatic fragrance and a gentle bitterness.
The kitchen is open, and from counter seats, you can see the chefs cooking.
The counter seats in front of the wine cellar seem to be a good place to relax by yourself.
The “Flamenco live performance” that takes place once a month.
With such a large space, the restaurant is able to meet your request of hiring the entire space (60seats). For buffet style, the restaurant can accommodate up to a hundred people. If you hire it, you can also use their monitors and background music. They also hold monthly flamenco performances. They are so popular that the restaurant becomes full on all these occasions.
