Lomography Society International (or Lomography for short) was founded in 1994. The LomoJapan store, 'Lomography+', was established in Akiba by a Japanese businessman from the head office in Vienna, Austria. With the popularity of digital cameras, Lomography specializes in film cameras and handles unique film cameras and lenses.
An array of the model which is characteristic and fashionable.
An exhibition of all Lomography cameras is on display on one side of the wall. The unique bright pop-colored cameras easily stand out from other makers.
This is the most typical of Lomography cameras, ‘LC-A+’. The camera that made Lomography a brand.
The beautiful shade particular to LC-A+.
LC-A+, Lomography's most common camera, was based on 'LC-A', a Russian-made camera by Lomo. Lomography's founder fell in love with photos taken with the Lomography 'LC-A' and opened photography exhibitions in America and Russia. That revenue founded 'Lomography'. Lomography gained the licence to sell the 'Lomo LC-A' in 1996 after the Russian company announced it was no longer making the camera. Lomography improved and remodeled the camera, and started selling it as 'LC-A+'. "No matter what else comes out, lots of people end up coming back to this camera('LC-A+')", said Ms. Hoshi, the CEO of Lomography.
' LOMO’ INSTANT ' - sold via crowdfunding.
A set of 3 replacement lenses for 'LOMO’ INSTATNT’.
Not only traditional film cameras, but also instant film cameras.
' LOMO’ INSTANT ' is able to use 'Instax Film', film for FujiFilm Instant Camera. You can even combine lenses that aren't available via FujiFilm (such as the fish-eye lens, portlet lens and close-up lens) to create the photograph that you desire with one film via multiple exposure.
It is possible to experiment as much as you like in store (charges apply), and take home one photograph that you desire.
' KONSTRUKTOR ' - self-assembled. As the finder is at the top of the camera, you can check the object via the lens and prism.
The package has a unique design.
You wouldn't think this camera is self-assembled.
' KONSTRUKTOR ' is like a plamodel camera as it is self-assembled once bought. (Plamodel is a popular toy which has to be self-assembled to enjoy). As you have to make the camera from scratch yourself, you feel more connected with its mechanisms. A true Akiba-style product!
