‘I might as well have my restaurant in my favorite town, Akiba!’ Then, the owner opened the taco restaurant, BLAISE. Sometimes the owner who worked in a restaurant before is said to be no less famous than the delicious taco is. We asked him a question, ‘Why did you decided to open a taco restaurant here?’ Then he said, ‘I love taco’ ’Akiba doesn’t have any taco restaurant’ ’Umm...and it looks so fun.’ Wow, his answers totally show ‘Akiba’ way of thinking.
You can find BLAISE after going through Kanda third street, which is called Janku street. The restaurant looks like so hidden place that people who really know Akiba only can find.
You can enjoy mainly taco or some arranged taco dishes. The owner has even his original menu that has the same ingredients with taco! They also have other Mexican dishes like britto, nachos, chimichanga or salad. In every 29th(29 can be read ‘niku’ which means meat in Japanese ) there is a special grilled steak taco.
They start cooking right after they get order. So you can enjoy hot taco with chewy tortilla and plenty of fresh vegetable.
This is the most basic one, meat taco. Tortilla wraps plenty of taco meat above lettuce with many kinds of vegetables. It’s bit spicy but still it’s perfect.
The most unique owner’s original dish is taco ramen. Some people come to BLAISE just to eat this. The soup base is tomato and the same vegetables, meat and cheese they use in taco are in it. As taco spice melting, the taste changes. So you can enjoy two different types of ramen tastes with just this one bowl!
You can sit and eat inside.
The owner is a real Akiba person. So people who really love Akiba tend to come to his restaurant. It’s said that there are many professional illustrators who love his restaurant.
You can enjoy talking with the kind and gentle owner and Akiba people. This close relationship is also a big great point of BLAISE.
