Dorayaki is a Japanese popular traditional sweets. Cake batter contains honey and pancake wraps plenty of sweet red beans paste. It’s really good to eat with Japanese hot green tea. Dorayaki of Matsuya, long-standing sweets shop, is well known by Akiba people and also many foreigners come to this shop and buy it and they say ‘This is a exactly yummy-bans that I saw in Doraemon!!!’
Hidden special menu is the original package for dorayaki (plus 30 yen). If you bring your favorite pictures or printed images, you can get dorayaki in a package that your favorite pictures on. (It doesn’t take more than a week although it depends on time or season).
“I want more foreigners to try this taste”. The seventh generation owner of Matsuya, Nobuki Nishii says. He got the idea of making original packages as customers like.
It has been 240 years since they opened their shop in the next town of Akiba, Nihon-Hashimotochou and 120 years has passed since they come to Akiba.
